​I am figuring myself out and figuring out how I am going to make a positive, lasting, and changing impact in the people around me, the environment I exist in, and the system I work in. I came from Calexico, CA and Mexicali, BC, Mexico where I lived and experienced life for 18 years. My dreams changed constantly since, and they continue to do so, but with this in mind: family first, community second, and somewhere in between those is me and my self-care. As I spend my time here at Cal I hope that I can develop my passions and interests so that I have a better understanding of where I want to take my life.

Best Piece of Advice: 
Don't be afraid of being wrong.

Biggest Challenge: 
The transition to this university was a lot less easy than I expected. I didn't think it would be easy, but I definitely didn't think I was going to struggle this much. I unlearned and learned a lot. I had to learn to love, to be wrong, to be ok with being wrong, to push my limits but also know when it's not healthy, and a lot more. Cal is a process that develops you. Allow it to change you, but be in control. If at one point you're not in control and you're not happy, then take a step back and find support. ​
Why LUL: 
I wanted to join an organization that set itself apart and that was interested in me. I took a lot of interest in the conversations that I was having with the Hermanos because I was being stimulated in positive ways that I hadn't been before. A few bros kept reaching out to me, I became part of the interest group, and one day I found myself on the other side, as an Hermano of La Fraternidad.

Biggest Benefit:  
I found a great support group that helped me develop to the man I am now, and that keeps developing me into that man I want to be.

After Graduation: 
As a math major I have a wide range of possibilities. I am still figuring myself out, but currently I am looking into taking my first actuarial exam in the next year. Hopefully, if and when I do take it, I'll find out if it is what I really am interested in. After graduating I want to take a break from school, possibly permanently, and work as an actuary.

Interesting Fact: 
​I'm really friendly and personable. I can come across as a totally different person than I actually am. Get to know me, ask me questions, and learn first hand the interesting facts.
